License Options: Owned vs Leased Leased: License is valid only for the duration of the lease period. Free upgrades is included within the lease period. Owned: One time permanent license. First year of software updates is included. Owned License is entitled to free product updates for 1 year. Software updates after 1 year is: $99/year base and $50 additional per CPU-Core. We accept payment from major credit cards and PayPal through our secure online store, or credit card payments through Google Checkout for yearly and owned license. For order in large volume, bank wire is preferred, please contact our sales department. LiteSpeed license is per CPU-Core. We do not consider HyperThreading to be valid CPU-Cores. It is from our experience the HyperThreading is detrimental to server application performance and should be disabled.

CPU-Core Licensing Notes: Our N CPU-Core products are designed/optimized for the N CPU-Core instances. If you have a Dual-CPU system with Dual-Core CPUs, then the 4CPU-Core Enterprise edition is the optimized solution.

License Migration
License are issued on a per-server basis. Since release 3.0 license of LiteSpeed web server can be freely migrated from one server to another by end user with valid license key. Please refer to the documentation for license migration. You may perform a license migration if your license is voided due to hardware changes. Please always make a backup of your current serial number and license key.
