LiteSpeed Technologies, Inc. has released LiteSpeed Web Server 3.2.1.
LiteSpeed Web Server is the leading high-performance, high-scalability web server, featuring Apache interchangeability. When serving static content, LiteSpeed surpasses well-respected content accelerators including thttpd, boa and TUX. When it comes to dynamic content, LiteSpeed is more than 50% faster in PHP content delivery than Apache with mod_php.
This is a major feature enhancement release which includes new functionality. Changes in this release include improved compatibility with Plesk, Gzip compression improvements, additional redirect URL and query string environment variables, improved support for RESTful routes in Ruby on Rails, improvements for the directory autoindex script, the ability to turn off inode value in ETag, a security engine bug fix, customizable 408 request timeout error page, and the ability to configure for individual virtual host restarting.
Customers using a previous version of LiteSpeed Web Server are encouraged to update to the latest release.
