What's Pool, In Use, and Idle mean under Extermal Application, lsphp4 in real-time stats bottom？

Pool is established connections.
In use is active ones. In use + Idle = Pool
lsphp4 is just the default sample external app, you can rename it and delete it if you don't need it.

What's the difference between Max Conn. and Eff Max? What determines the value in pool? I notice it's almost always the same number. Can you explain clearer what is meant by in use and established?
