AWStats error

Hi.

AWStats has stopped to update the statistics. After some inspection of the logs, I discovered the following error:

"File already exists: [/var/web/logs/site/access.log.awstats], Awstats updating might be in progress."

Removing the /var/web/logs/site/access.log.awstats and restarting the server, removes this error, but on the next hour, it appears again.

I'm using the latest version of lshttpd (2.1.10)

Any idea, what it can be related to?

I had that problem if the permissions are wrong on the log-directory.
lsws can write to the directory but awstats can't or something like that.
usually a chmod helps ;).

I don't think thats a bug in lsws but a configuration issue.

That's correct, it is a permission problem, and awstats updating is pretty picky on that. :-)
Not any more with released 2.1.11 (coming soon)
