The best firewall with IP and MAC block option

I have linux mint, which is Ubuntu but with all the drivers installed.

I want to know what is the best firewall for linux. I use litespeed web server enterprise.
I want it to prevent intrusion attacks. DoS attacks.

I also want the option to maybe have online management, but will probably not happen because I don't have apache.

I want the option to block IP and MAC addresses.
What does everyone think is the best firewall?

iptables is the only firewall available for Linux. there are a few add-on scripts, the one like is CSF http://www.configserver.com/cp/csf.html .
