proxy question
I recently setup a proxy through lsws from a ddos protected ip to a non protected ip. Everything works ok but of course all users have the same ip. Is there any way possible to work around this? Both servers are litespeed.
EDIT: Well I guess that is pretty retarded question and not possible the more I think about it. But if there does happen to be a way to do it, it would be nice |
The web server need to use the X-Forwarded-For header instead of the socket remote IP.
LSWS can do that, no sure others. http://www.litespeedtech.com/docs/we...pInProxyHeader |
Ok So I set this up on the real server right? not the proxy server?
Will it affect other configs? For example the real server is directadmin using apache config. Or would I just make a vhost out of the proxied site and do it that way? Never mind I found it, just enabling that feature eh on the real server. Works liek a charm, simply awesome. Thanks George |
