Can you comment please AIO support? Isn't this same as: Use Asynchronized disk I/O (AIO) in v4.0.20?
|
yes, same option, but AIO only works in 4.1
although you can select it in 4.0.20, it's just ignored. |
And last question, do we need some special OS libraries for AIO support in Litespeed 4.1?
|
no, no special library required
|
Can't wait to test it, i was wondering why I/O still blocking (with AIO enabled in 4.0.2) other applications, hope this will help...
|
I have tested this version and must say new AIO support realy working good. No lag in site when I/O is high.
Not sure about upload progress bar support, because i didn't noticed any improvement in upload progress (still no slighty movent, just spykes.), maybe i need to do something to eneble progress bar support? |
glad to know the good news.
regarding upload progress bar, it depends on what upload script you're using. for flashed based upload, actually "upload progress bar" working well for 4.0.x. however, if the upload progress bar is implemented by perl or php script, then only 4.1 works. |
I'm using PHP/Javascript based progress bar, and as i said, i did'nt noticed any changes by swithching to 4.1. It's working as always, spykes but not slighty moves. And if i enable gzip it won't work at all, only showing up when 100% completed. What settings i need to check about that? Or it wont work with my upload progress bar script?

how about progress bar under apache?
if it works with apache but not with 4.1, then it should be a bug. is the progress bar a open source or can you package it, so we can reproduce on our lab. |
