Shared Hosting Public Cache (LSCache)
 

Hello,

I am looking for some advice on which settings are best to use the public cache for shared hosting using LiteSpeed Enterprise.

I would like to enable the cache globally then disable the cache for sites/domains which appear to have problems with it, I believe this way will work best for us as a business.

Any tips or suggestions for the best settings would be appreciated.

I have created the cache folder within /tmp however when I attempt to set the storage path within LiteSpeed admin console I get this error:

quick solution:
#chmod 777 /tmp/diskcache

Isn't 777 on a temp folder a security risk?

Not necessarily. But if you want to be more safe, make it owned by web server user (i.e. nobody) with lsadm group.
