Standard Edition on cPanel Server
 

Hi.

I want to take advantage of LiteSpeed on my server. I have installed cPanel Plugin but it does not give me option to choose between Standard and Enterprise Editions. Is it possible to install Standard Edition on cPanel Server? Do I need to install manually? If I install manually, will it be bound to cPanel automatically?

Any replies will be appreciated.

LiteSpeed cPanel plugin is designed for LSWS Enterprise edition. Since Standard Edition can ONLY import up to 5 vhost from Apache httpd.conf and cpanel/whm usually host more than 5 vhosts (including non-user related vhost), it is not recommeneded to have Standard Edition work with cPanel/whm.

Yes, you can manually install LSWS (Std/Ent edition) to work with cpanel and replace Apache (stop httpd and set offset port to 0 in lsws). Details are at :
