SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 2006 MySQL server has gone away
 

I am not sure if this is a Magento Issue or a lite-speed config issue. But I am having intermittent problems with saving customers addresses during checkout when I look at error logs I get the following errors:

a:5:{i:0;s:63:"SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 2006 MySQL server has gone away";i:1;s:3388:"

If there a fix for this can I increase the time before mySql times out?
