mmturck-cache and php 4.3.7 core-dumps
I just noticed that my self-compiled php 4.3.7 + mmturck-cache 2.4.6 doesn't seem to be very reliable...I get quite regulare php core dumps which completely disappeared after disabling mmturck-cache.
Well, looks like I have to investigate this more deeply, but first I'll give Zend Optimizer a try  Cheers, Andy |
Andy,
You can try the lastest mmcache in CVS on sf.net, We had been informed that the bug that causes php 4.3.7 core dumps has been fixed in CVS. Cheers, George |
Turck mmcache will only work on 32bit Linux so far. Using it on Redhat Fedora 2 64bit on Athlon64 for example will result in core dumps no matter what. At least this my experience with Fedora 2 devel tree with latest everything. I hope they can fix this but development for mmcache seem to have slowed to a crawl at this moment.

The feed back we got is about Fedora Core 2 on Athlon64. :-)
The author of mmcache are working for Zend now, but there are a couple developers are trying to take over the project. |
