I changed the default settings to this.

Are these settings good?

I am also using 4.2, and have set

Run On Start Up: suEXEC Daemon

Is that fine?

default settings are good for most setup. it is up you to adjust the settings to fit your traffic pattern + hardware/os configuration.

4.2 suEXEC Daemon is for php speed up with opcode cache in shared hosting env.

What is the opcode cache?

I hear that i can't use XCache because i have PHP suEXEC enabled?
Should i use memcache instead? What other cache methods i can use? eAccelerator?

XCache, eAccelerator are opcode cache (cache compiled php script for performance). memcache (cache data result) is not. With 4.2 suEXEC daemon mode, these opcode cache can be used when PHP suEXEC is enabled. You can not use them prior to 4.2. More details of suEXEC mode can be found below:
