LiteSpeed Installation on DirectAdmin
 

Hello,

I had LiteSpeed installed and it was working fine to, however my server provider did "some routine maintenance" and ever since the LiteSpeed does not start.

So what I decided was to re-install LiteSpeed, however I'm getting the same problems and it just doesn't start.

Here is the message I get:

2012-12-02 02:53:08.581 [NOTICE] Detected XEN VM
[OK] License key #1 verification passed! Software upgrade expires in 300 days.
[OK] litespeed: pid=24742.

[ERROR] Failed to start the web server. For trouble shooting information,
please refer to documents in "/usr/local/lsws/docs/".



Can anyone help me?

the license was in migration state. re-register a new license key does the trick.

cd /usr/local/lsws/bin
./lshttpd -r
./lshttpd -V

However I do get the same notice:
[NOTICE] Detected XEN VM

But at least it's working/starting so that's fine with me :)

This NOTICE is OK. It means LSWS detects your system is XEN type virtual machine (VM). Nothing to worry about.
