Is There A Connection Limit Per Licence?
 

Hi, I am building a download server for people to connect to and I would need about 50,000-100,000 (just an estimate) and these connections will be concurrent.

Would litespeed be able to handle this much connections at once?

2-CPU license or above should accommodate the concurrent connections. you also need to make sure your OS can handle that too.

standard version has 150 concurrent connections limit
for VPS license the limit is 500
for other license, no connection limit.

while it looks hard to answer, try
1) litespeed itself may not be the bottleneck
2)assume 100k, and your NIC is 1G, then every connection only 10 bits/seconds or 1 bytes/sec. considering lots of TCP/IP overhead, should be less 1 bytes/sec per connection. all the users will feel too slow and quit ...

Thanks, when you say OS your are referring to the physical hardware and not the software correct?
