Subdomain hotlink protection
 

I have a site with dynamic subdomains, each user gets one upon signing up. I also want hotlink protection to stop leechers from stealing bandwidth, but when i do this, it doesnt allow subdomains to view images.
I was thinking it might be userful to allow the wildcard in the hotlink protection area

Sure. We will allow regular expressions in the domain list.
In the mean time, if you don't mind using a beta release, please try 2.0RC2, just customize a rewrite rule for hotlink protection like before. It should be pretty stable. ;-)
