Litespeed standard >=5.2.8 does not work on FreeBSD 10 or 11

Tried upgrading an existing install of 5.2.6 i386 to 5.2.8 (lsws-5.2.8-std-i386-freebsd.tar.gz) and 5.3 (lsws-5.3-std-i386-freebsd.tar.gz). The admin interface immediately stops working. In stderr.log is the following: 2018-09-16 00:05:44.570 [STDERR] /usr/local/lib/libexpat.so.1: unsupported...

    pkgng support for FreeBSD

Hi, Is lsws ever going to be a proper package that can be installed & managed with pkg? If it's not on the todo list, how would you feel if I create & maintain a port for the free version that would make installing it on BSD much easier and would also make it conform to bsd hier(7)? Would I...

    Error building PHP 5.5.17

I wanted to upgrade PHP from 5.5.13 to 5.5.17, but it won't complete: ext/mysqlnd/mysqlnd_ps_codec.o(.text+0x9cc): In function `ps_fetch_float': /usr/local/lsws/phpbuild/php-5.5.17/ext/mysqlnd/mysqlnd_ps_codec.c:223: undefined reference to `__extendsfsd'...

Admin vhost intermittent 500 error (FreeBSD)

Hi, I recently upgraded to 4.2.9 and just to 4.2.10, and since the upgrade to 4.2.9 the admin site has been erratic. Around 1 in 5 page requests results in a 500 error (it works again when refreshing the same page/resubmitting the form). The following is logged: i 2014-05-07 05:59:31.007...

    4.1.12 broken

I upgraded a server from 4.1.10 to 4.1.12 today and it completely broke php and the web console. All php scripts result in 503, as does accessing the web console. there are numerous unhelpful errors in stderr.log: and some more in my admin error log: Reverting to 4.1.10 solved all...

'fetch' is not detected on FreeBSD 8-STABLE

lsws 4.1.10 (possibly .11 too) is trying to determine whether to use wget, curl or fetch, but doesn't detect 'fetch' on FreeBSD currently (even though it's there and in the path). Solved by installing curl from ports.

No ipv6 addresses to select for listener

I wanted to create an ipv6 listener, but there are no ipv6 addresses in the 'IP Address' dropdown box to select. It's the standard edition, but I didn't see the standard edition being limited to ipv4 only in the comparison. I have several enterprise editions on similar systems already using...

Version manager thinks 4.0.20 is newer than 4.1

Just upgraded to 4.1 from 4.0.17. Lsws keeps bugging me to 'upgrade' to 4.0.20 anyway (on the admin site as well as email). I suppose I'll stick to 4.0.20 until these things are ironed out.

    REQ: lsws FreeBSD compatibility

Currently Litespeed is the only application on my servers that does not install through ports or via a FreeBSD native package. The way it installs now does not conform to BSD hier (see 'man hier'), which most FreeBSD admins (me included) are really anal about. Also compiling for some more...

Vhost in 'Requires Restart' status when in fact there is an error

If you leave the docroot blank in a vhost the vhost obviously does not start. The webadmin then shows 'Requires Restart' besides the vhost in the summary, even though restarting will of course not fix this error. 'Error' would be more appropriate in this case. Seen in LiteSpeed/4.0.12...

    REQ: Autorestart

I request an option to have the server graceful auto-restart when changes are made through the webadmin instead of just the notice that it should be done at the top.

    PHP install error

For some reason PHP always fails to install. I have never seen Litespeed install PHP correctly since I started using it more than a year ago. The error is always the same: Build complete. Don't forget to run 'make test'. Installing PHP Installing PHP SAPI module: litespeed :No...

    Building PHP / Detailed Log

I would like to request that the 'Main status' when building PHP is sent to the browser with mime text/plain or converted so that it isn't just one continuous line that requires constant vertical scrolling to be useful. In the same spirit I suggest the output of the detailed log be replaced...

    Litespeed exited on signal 11

I have just installed a server, downloaded and installed lsws std, and tried to start it. The result is the following in /usr/local/lsws/logs/lsws.log: 2010-01-11 21:40:41.468 [NOTICE] Loading LiteSpeed/4.0.12 Standard ... 2010-01-11 21:40:41.474 [NOTICE] [ADMIN] server socket...

    Building PHP fails on 4.0.9

Error: tar: Unrecognized archive format tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors. Investigation shows that 'http://www.litespeedtech.com/packages/lsapi/php-litespeed-4.9.tgz' is now 404. I cannot upgrade to 4.0.11 on account of 4.0.10 breaking integration with our intranet and...

    Caching function

Hi, I'm playing around with the caching function, and I was wondering if there is a way to set the maximum cache size (if reached the oldest files and/or files with the least hits are purged). Or is there a built-in limit? The reason that I ask is that it seems that the server can just...
