    That fixed the problem. Thanks.

    [Resolved] AWStats "Site Domain" field

When configuring AWStats under a template, the "Site Domain" field says to leave blank to use the name of the virtual host. But when you try to save changes and actually leave it blank, it returns an error saying field required.

Apache config's with piped CustomLog returns error

I'm not sure if something happened during a recent update, but this isn't working any more. I don't have an external app defined, but I think you're saying I shouldn't have to. Correct? I'm running 4.0.1 using the freebsd6 i386 release.

    permision error

PHP runs as the directory owner -- without PHP suEXEC (in LiteSpeed)?

CGI / Perl outside of a cgi-bin/ dir

Ah yes. That worked great. Thanks. It's been a while since I had to change anything in our Apache configs. We've been running 1.3.x since forever.

    SSL with Apache configs

Well, in Apache we define the SSL VirtualHost like so: <VirtualHost 127.0.0.1:443> .. and since that's probably where you're grabbing the VH name from (the ServerName directive), it would be easy to determine if it's SSL or not. Just check for the :443 in there. I'm sure there might be...

lshttpd using constant CPU even when not in use

No. Not if it's just a typical swap file/drive/partition. A RAM disk is something completely different. In FreeBSD they're referred to as "memory disks" and work like other mount points except you're allocating RAM to create a drive instead of pointing to a physical drive. I'm not sure what OS...

    Which php.ini?

Can all others be removed? Or they need to remain just as the php.ini's? I'm very obsessive about keeping things orderly and having 3-5 php directories, binaries, and php.ini's is confusing. Especially when there's no real documentation for this and I'm new to LS.

I'm running a 32-bit FreeBSD binary. Here's the most recent output from autoupdate/update.log: [2009-04-20 06:35:09] Checking for new release... [2009-04-20 06:35:10] [ERROR] Unknown response from server. [2009-04-20 23:49:27] Checking for new release... [2009-04-20 23:49:28] [ERROR] Unknown...

OK -- so which php binary is used? The one defined in "External Apps" under "Command"?

Server can connect, but auto update still isn't working. Any ideas/suggestions?

lshttpd using constant CPU even when not in use

That's swap, not a RAM disk.

    Which php.ini?

I've read through some posts (and done a php -i) and it seems the php.ini needs to go in: LSWS_HOME/lsphp5/lib/php.ini However, there are several other copies. Are they needed? What are they used for? I removed the add-ons/ directory because those are obvious. ./admin/misc/php.ini...

    SSL with Apache configs

When using Apache configs, LiteSpeed lists SSL virtual hosts on the General page with a "www." in front of the domain name: APVH_www.domain.com The non-SSL version is displayed as: APVH_domain.com Could this be changed to display SSL virtual hosts like: APVH_domain.com (SSL)...

    How can hide litespeed brand?

That's too messy. I figured out a much simpler solution. Thanks for the suggestion though.

CGI / Perl outside of a cgi-bin/ dir

Do I have to put a ScriptAlias for / in the config? This is the current config: ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ /htdocs/users/<username>/<domain>/cgi-bin/ Would something like this be the correct way to get this working? It does work, but I'm not sure if this is the best idea. ScriptAlias /...
