since install no admin panel running on port 7080

well, that worked.. hmm.... My IP is also "whitelisted" so there should be even less chance its the firewall, but I might try it with it off.. edit: no difference.

since install no admin panel running on port 7080

hi I've installed a few of these litespeed servers now, but on this one, it wont start the admin section. If I do a netstat there is nothing running on port 7080. I cant see any errors, and the server is otherwise running fantastically... but I cant get into the admin panel :s

the funny thing is, that when I switch back to apache, it appears to ignore the vhost include paths I had in the previous post and just reads this for both local and master values: .:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php

hi mistwang, just fyi, I already did the build matching php from the plugin, right from the beginning. I have redone it a few times after rebuilding php in easyapache. Those 2 lines in /home/pcshop/public_html/includes/config.php are already commented out. It appears to me that...

As you can see from the above quote the apache php.ini include path is quite different from the litespeed one. The thing is.. ITS THE SAME PHP.INI!!! So.. there is no code in the magento install that is changing anything, its coming from litespeed.. BUT WHERE? All I have done is make a working...

    [Resolved] Magento/CPANEL/LiteSpeed issue

ok, the problem "appears" to be that there is some kind of local config which is over riding the "master" in the php.ini, here: Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening 'Mage/Core/functions.php' for inclusion...

they are in the appropriate directories in the customer's folder.. CPANEL appears to install it, and it "just works" if I switch to apache. The error only occurs when litespeed is serving the pages.

    [Resolved] Magento/CPANEL/LiteSpeed issue

OK, I have had a few problems now, and have been able to resolve quite a few. Most recently was that PHP wasnt compiled with the right options for magento. I resolved that in CPANEL, by switching back to apache, rebuilding php with all the options for magento, and then getting litespeed to...

Cpanel Stops but wont restart Litespeed

Ok, seems to have worked.. So, let that be a lesson, do not think that you can install litespeed and THEN install CPANEL (even on a freshly installed LAMP) - CPANEL does not like it. Its been running for a few hours without spawning a gazillion processes. Thanks mistwang
