Is there something like CGI Set *GID* Mode?

It works perfectly in the template! With just one change I have secured all these domains.. thank you so much - Litespeed is really the best webserver I ever used. :) Philipp

Is there something like CGI Set *GID* Mode?

Just to make sure I understood correctly: To set the open_basedir directive I have to instantiate all virtual hosts and set it individually for each of them - there is no way to specify something like "php_admin_value open_basedir $VH_ROOT" in my template, right? :) Thanks, Philipp

Is there something like CGI Set *GID* Mode?

Hello, is it possible with the current 2.2.6 Std version to set the open_basedir restriction for virtual hosts (either automatically using a template or specifically for each virtual host)? I have PHP using LSAPI and start it with suEXEC as the user who owns the virtual host. I believe in...

Logging the correct client IP when using a http load balancer

I have pound logging all access, but I like to have my users access to their own logfiles and more importantly to have AWstats working (which I configured with Litespeed and which works great, however it does not count correctly anymore, because of the wrong IP in the logfiles). If there is...

Logging the correct client IP when using a http load balancer

Hello, I have a problem with my setup and don't know if there is a way to correctly configure Litespeed to do what I want. :-) I have a http load balancer (IP 10.0.3.1) running the software "pound" sitting in front of Litespeed (IP 10.0.3.2). As pound acts as a kind of proxy, Litespeed thinks...

Litespeed can't use virtual host roots on NFS

Hello, I may have found a bug concerning docroots stored on an NFS-server.. maybe it's a configuration issue instead, but I just can't find my error. I configured my Litespeed 2.2.6 Standard server to use virtual host document roots which are stored on a NFS-server and mounted to the local...

trying to get lsapi into the gentoo-ebuilds

Just as an update, I hacked together a Gentoo portage overlay for a LSAPI-enabled PHP 5.1.6. It looks good, so far, but I haven't installed Litespeed Server yet on my Gentoo box. Is there any interest in making this overlay publicly available? :)

autoindex: Use of undefined constant uri

Hello, I get the following PHP notice when I view a directory listing: Line 366 says: Shouldn't this be strlen($uri)? I installed 2.1.19 Standard first, updated to 2.1.20 and then to 2.2 (all via your great version-management WebGUI), if that matters somehow :) Regards, Philipp

Is there something like CGI Set *GID* Mode?

Thank you very much, this solution works perfectly! I have two issues left however: 1) When I setup the permissions as you said (owner of the docroot is user XY with his own group, www-data beeing a member of this users group and only allowing access for the user and his group to his...

Is there something like CGI Set *GID* Mode?

Hello, I have PHP running as the user who owns the docroot, but is it possible to set the GID too? A static GID (nogroup) would be okay. I ask, because I thought of the following security concept: LiteSpeed runs as user www-data, group www-data all docroots (and files / dirs in there) are...

emalloc / erealloc again with APC

Setting both memory limits to 0 or alternatively to soft: 200M, hard: 240M "fixes" the error, setting it to a low value like 20M brings a 503 error again! :) Now, is this the real solution to disable memory limits or is it still a bug but disabling the limit just hides it? Edit: I encountered...

emalloc / erealloc again with APC

Hi, I'm getting emalloc / erealloc errors in stderr.log which cause one of my vhosts not to work (I always get a 503 error). The single vhost which isn't working is serving a MediaWiki installation. The other (working) vhosts serve simple php-sites. 1) Ubuntu Dapper 6.06.1 64bit, Linux...
