Default Apache re-writes are not working

I just switched a site to a new Litespeed server and the re-writes are not working?

I am using the apache config, I started with using Litespeed config and it worked.

It is seeing my .htaccess file, can you tell me what else I should look at?

Yes, they are all set correctly, I also noticed that Magento /var/cache is not being written?
