login with persistent cookies?

hey folks,

I'm having a problem in this forum: I'm always getting only a session-cookie for my login information. Is it just me or is the login only working this way?
could someone fix this so I don't need to login again every time I visit the forum?

Please try clear the cookie then login again via the dedicate login page, check "Remember me".

I've cleared the relevant cookies already and no go.
how do I reach the dedicated login page? couldn't find it linked anywhere - or am I blind?

You have to logout first, then reply a post without logging in, it will take you to the dedicated login page.
