Default LiteSpeed Web Server 4.1 has been released.

Hi, All,

Finally LSWS 4.1 is ready for download; it has been taking YEARS to push for this release. no kidding.

Main features include AIO support, HTTPS SNI, mod_security 2.5 rule sets, H.264 streaming etc..

Download LiteSpeed Web Server

Milestone dates:
4.1 RC1 - Feb 2, 2009
4.1 RC2 - Nov 9, 2009
4.1 RC3 - July 25, 2010
4.1 RC4 - Dec 14, 2010
4.1 RC5 - Mar 15, 2011

Each RC release has many updates thanks to all the bug report and feedback. We have some hosts running 4.1RC in production for quite long time, so all the bugs reported till today have been addressed to the best of our knowledge.

4.1RC have also been constantly updated to include all the feature enhancement and bug fixes for 4.0.x. We still have a lot of good ideas and pending todos, but it's time to cut a 4.1 release and further move on to more exciting features in 4.1.x.

We will still keep the latest stable 4.0.20 available for download. All future bug fixes will be in 4.1.x only. Auto update will be enabled a week later if no main issues reported.

Thanks all for your continuous support to make LSWS a better product.

Lauren

Congratulations!

We will soon upgrade to 4.1, and we will need to upgrade from the VPS version to the 1-CPU version. (It is a VPS but we are going to go above the 2 GB memory limit.) How can we do that without losing the money we paid for the rest of the month on the VPS license?

Also, what is the recommended process for upgrading to 4.1 using the WHM plugin?

Thanks,

Mark

4.1.1 addressed all small issues from 4.1, so we did not push auto-update for 4.1, instead 4.1.1 will be available soon through auto-update.

you can upgrade your license from client area, check wiki for license upgrade.
