Default v4.1.11 permissions issue

Since upgrading, scripts now don't appear to be able to write to their own directories with permissions 755 which worked previously.

i.e

Quote:
The templates compiling directory '/home/xxx/public_html/templates_c/' must be writeable (CHMOD 777) before you can continue.
The only thing done was an upgrade. The files/folders are still owned by the user, still 755 and we're still running as su, as expected.

Edit: It appears despite the same config, 4.1.11 is writing all files as "nobody"!!

Downgrading fixes the issues.

Matt

Please try a force reinstall of 4.1.11, see if the problem is still there.
Also, check if lsphp5 processes are running as each account owner, or all as nobody.

Are you using cPanel? which version?
Please send the httpd.conf or a vhost configuration sample to bug@litespeed...

WHM 11.32.2 (build 4)
CENTOS 5.8 x86_64

Will send a sample now but there is nothing new on them, they work on the old version, just not on the new.

Our lab has the same version WHM, and PHP suEXEC works properly with 4.1.11.
We need to find what is the difference in somewhere causing this issue.

I think it might be something to do with the compile of PHP.. but we're not sure at this point.

We've downgraded back to 4.1.10 and are recompiling and then will upgrade to see what happens without a recompile.

Exclamation Same problem

Hi,

We are also having this same issue on all servers that have automatically upgraded to cPanel 11.32.2. Suexec were working fine before cPanel upgraded itself.

Thanks

David

please try if following tip works:
Quote:
For 4.1.11, Just add "ruid2" to "Ignore Apache module"

http://www.litespeedtech.com/docs/we...IgnoredModules

4.1.12 blacklist that module automatically.
