rails applications and dual core processor

I am using the standard version 2.2 and running on a single processor, two core machine. I think I understand that the standard version of LiteSpeed will only use one of the cores. Is that right? What about all those ruby processes that run my rails apps? Are they limited to one core only, as well, or will they be using the other core?
