Default @ Those using DirectAdmin
How is LiteSpeed working out for you? I plan to replace Apache with LS, but unsure of how easy it is.

That is easy... another question.

Does LSWS use the compiled PHP that DA configured? Or does LSWS use it's version of PHP?

LS uses its own LSAPI PHP, it's independent of DA's.
