Default System load fluxuates

Hi,

I have been paying attention to my Litespeed admin interface and the load. I have noticed pretty big fluxuations in the system in the load. Here is some of what I have observed:

1)
System Load - 0.97
RAM - 2.9MB
CPU Usage - 0.1%
Requests/sec - 1
Traffic in/sec - 0kb
Traffic out/sec - 1kb

2)
System Load - 0.55
RAM - 2.9MB
CPU Usage - 0.1%
Requests/sec - 1
Traffic in/sec - 0kb
Traffic out/sec - 1kb

3)
System Load - 0.19
RAM - 2.9MB
CPU Usage - 0.1%
Requests/sec - 1
Traffic in/sec - 0kb
Traffic out/sec - 4kb

4)
System Load - 0.19
RAM - 2.9MB
CPU Usage - 0.1%
Requests/sec - 1
Traffic in/sec - 0kb
Traffic out/sec - 4kb

5)
System Load - 0.13
RAM - 2.9MB
CPU Usage - 0.1%
Requests/sec - 2
Traffic in/sec - 3kb
Traffic out/sec - 11kb

6)
System Load - 0.37
RAM - 2.9MB
CPU Usage - 0.1%
Requests/sec - 1
Traffic in/sec - 0kb
Traffic out/sec - 5kb

etc..

note: they are listed in order of occurence

~~~~~~~~~~
Now should I be concerned? an 0.97 system load seems very high for 1 requests per sec. If so what can I do to regulate the load?
Thanks
I don't think I'd get very worried about those loads. Did you look what was running on the server that those times (top, ps etc.). I'd highly doubt the issue is LSWS. More likely it's some poor coding or a cron job running.
thats not a big fluxuation at all. So many factors in play in interpretaing load like amount of cpu cores , etc but none of them you posted above are high load..
