Thanks for the bug report.
LiteSpeed does not log file not found error into errorlog,you can get that information from access log or even better, the awstats result.
Yes, there is a bug in the admin interface, once you "reload" configuration from the interface, it will stop working, it will be fixed in next release, for now, always use "restart", there is no service interruption during "restart". :-)
