Default MySQL error after installing

Hi, I've just installed litespeed [insert newest version here] with plesk control panel support (which was already functional on apache).
Now, when I visit the offset port (Apache is still running aside it - for which I'm glad), I get an error:
Code:
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)
I have the same on the offset port for the admin panel...

In the configs for litespeed I found nothing related to mysql in any way...
So, what basically is the problem here?

PS: the mysql.sock is located elsewhere, I have its location, but have no idea how to direct the application to the correct .sock (Other than to create a link, which is everything but useful on the long run.)

rebuild lsphp binary on your server or change 'mysql_socket' configuration in your php.ini

Thanks for the comment. I was already about to recompile php, but at the moment I was fine with the php.ini modification - which worked perfectly.
