Couple Questions Regarding CPU and Rewrite Rules

We Currently Have a Box With 2x Quad Cores In It. I was reading on one of the other threads that often you want to liscence lsws for less cores then you acutally have.

We run 3 high traffic virtual Sites, one is Vbulletin, one is Drupal, one is all static files. ATM with the Trial our loads are 1.7, with lighttpd they were 2.5ish. How would i go about deciding if i want 1, 2, 4, or 8 core liscence?

It depends on how much traffic goes to the site with static files.
If you are happy with the result of 2-CPU license, get the 2-CPU, if budget is not a concern for you and need to serve a lot of static content, go with the 4-CPU license.
