Default mod security not working

I have the 15 day free trial installed last night. After everything was installed, mod_security doesn't work anymore? I used the whm plugin

I'm not an expert so please explain what I should do.

Also do I have to switch to apache to run easyapache? Or can I stay with litespeed and still be able to run easyapache?

The modsecurity audit log generated by LSWS is not compatible with mod_security whm plugin yet. it works, just that the blocked requests are not shown from the plugin.

Yes, you need to switch back to Apache temporarily when you need to rebuild Apache/PHP with easyapache.

I use to get e-mail about blocks that modsecurity did but now I get nothing.

Also I use to have www.myip.com/bin blocked if anyone tries to access it, but now it doesn't block anything. I can get there still.

I wanted to install mod_security through easyapache also maybe updated my php to 5.2.6.

if /bin/ directory does not exist on your server, it will not be blocked, LiteSpeed does not block requests results in 404. You can check the audit_log for requests being blocked.
