Coding your web server is only one aspect, you also need to sell it! Having outdated benchmarks on your site reflects badly on LS as it makes it look like you aren't updating the numbers as they would no longer be as favourable...

I personally believe you wouldn't hesitate to toot your own horn if the numbers were still impressively better than the competition.

If someone would like to take some time to benchmark LiteSpeed against the others, we can sponsor it.

We have have our own priority, updating the benchmark result is time consuming and low priority, and some of our planed enhancements will improving the overall performance as well, so it wont be a wise decision to double the effort.

If you care about the benchmark so much, you can do your own test now and share your result with us.

This thread makes for interesting reading:

Your out-dated benchmarks are causing people to choose not to purchase LiteSpeed and to view your product with suspicion. Surely as these are now causing you to lose money it's worth taking some time to perform new benchmarks and update the site?

serass: I'm actually a big supporter of LS and that's why I'm trying to put forward the case for George and/or his team to find the time to get this done. I can imagine why it was low priority but really it's now causing such suspicion amongst potential customers it must become a higher priority item.

He said he'll wait until 4.1 final to do the benchmarks. Not sure of the reason unless that version performs better.

I just purchased the Enterprise version, but I'd agree that I was almost turned away by the outdated benchmarks. They also look a little suspicious showing 2-client for only LS and not the competition.
