They changed web server and hosting provider to Softlayer.

Just checked through domaintools and it says apache is being used

Though I must admit it is slightly faster these days, compared to how it was couple of months back.

They have switched back to Apache to standardise their system. There's a thread in WHT talking about this and you may want to take a look at it.

They never gave a reason why it was switched back. What JLHC is referring to was years ago when they were were under a huge ddos attack. They decided to deploy litespeed which saved them at the end.
