Is it possible to have multiple servers serving websites in a shared environments to spread the load?

Not sure you are asking about a cloud solution or just want to spread load among multiple lshttpd processes (n-cpu license) in one server.

If you want a cloud solution, you have to use shared storage.

You could but it's not really anything to do with Litespeed.

If you're providing shared hosting you'd normally just setup another server and either move some accounts to that or start creating new accounts on it.
