Question Load balancer clarification

Hi not sure if this is correct forum as there doesn't seem to be a dedicated forum for load balancer product questions.

Questions pertain to use as web server load balancer with 2 or more web servers with WHM/Cpanel for vbulletin and drupal usage.

1. LSLB does it require each web server to have LiteSpeed Web Server installed or basic apache/nginx based web servers will work as well ? with LSLB ?

2. LSLB any issues in properly detecting ips as well as sessions for vbulletin and drupal usage ?

thanks

George

LSLB is a generic HTTP load balancer, does not require backend to be LiteSpeed web server only, it works with any web server.

There should not be any issue with vbulletin and drupal. LSLB add "X-Forwarded-For" request header, as long as backend server can correctly acknowledge that header, backend server should be able to use the external IP instead of LB's IP. LSLB can do session tracking in stateful mode.
