Banning Countries - how to?.

I know I can look up what country the IP came from with maxmind.. and I guess I would need to create a re-write rule to deny them access if they are from X country?.

I honestly have no idea how to go about doing this, so a walkthrough would be great. I _need_ the following countries banned because of current trade embargos:

Cuba
Iran
Myanmar (Burma)
North Korea (Democratic People's Republic of Korea)
Sudan
Syria

I know it might be asking a bit much to have someone guide me through it step by step, so if there is a guide out there for this it would be lovely.

Just follow the guide for mod_geoip, go to maxmind.com to look it up, you need Enterprise license in order to use GeoIP feature.
