Default how to update litespeed

Hi,

Please guide me on how to update litespeed. I've never done this before. Can I do it from admin panel? Do I need to follow any steps? Do I need to restart system or anything?

Thank you.

To upgrade to another edition/release, just run install.sh again and select 'upgrade', your current configuration will be kept.

Do I need to do this via ssh or can I upgrade from within the console?

Please guide.

Thank you.

You do upgrade (as described in quote) via ssh (command line): download the release/edition package from lsws website, unpack it, run install.sh in the expanded folder. You have more flexibility with this as you can choose between editions (standard or enterprise). You can not do this with admin console.

You can do upgrade from admin console when a new release becomes available (Admin console -> Actions -> Version Manager). However, usually there is a delay on this as we make sure the new release is stable.

Both upgrades keep your current configuration.
