Error message on Wordpress blog?

I am building a client's WP blog, and got this error message when trying to install the WP Super Cache plugin.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare apache_request_headers() in /chroot/home/andreasb/andreasbeau.com/html/blog/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache.php on line 1543

Any suggestions?

If it is a WP problem, is there anything that can be done from inside of LightSpeed to fix it?

does the error go away when you disabled wp-cache?
