Default Manually disabling/enabling external apps

Hi,

it would be nice if it were possible to disable specific external apps manually while the server is running.

yes, would be very interesting in case you are running with load-balancing and want to do maintenance on one backend.
and while you are at it ... what about some numeric priority for backends in the load-balancer to tell it which backends to use more than the other?
