Default License error when trying to upgrade

When trying to upgrade LiteSpeed ENT, we are receiving the following error. Please let us know how to proceed:

<<<<<
[WARNING] Server signature does not match the license key #6.
Please request a new license key!
2012-04-10 14:11:58.896 [NOTICE] [OK] Updated license key has been created at /root/lsws-4.1.12/license.key.
>>>>>>

If we continue with the upgrade, the service won't start telling us the license has already been installed on it's total allotted number of servers.

The error message is occurring while running the installer. If we complete the install and and relicense the system, we get the following:
<<<<<
/usr/local/lsws/bin/lshttpd -V
[WARNING] Server signature does not match the license key #3.
Please request a new license key!
2012-04-10 11:09:46.698 [ERROR] [LICENSE] License key operation failure: ERR LCA.2: fail to process
>>>>>

Thank-you.

are you transferring license from another server or OS reinstall the same server? if os, you need to release that and re-register on the new server.

webizen,

We did release the license and tried to re-register to no avail.
And no we are not transferring the license to another server or OS. we simply want to upgrade the existing installation from 4.1.11 to 4.1.12.

pls stay with 4.1.11 for now until 4.1.12 becomes available in auto-update. you need to release and re-register with 4.1.11.

usually it is a week after release if no bug reports. this time (4.1.12) takes longer. could be next week.
