Default [solved] Litespeed Restarting Every 2 Hours

Hello All,

We have been testing litespeed for a while now but it is restarting every 2 hours and we can't find out why. Just wondering if people have came across this before and what the issue was.

Hope to hear back from you all soon.

Will

please check your cron jobs, if there is one run every 2 hours, and match the time of lsws restart.

Hello,

We have already done that and tested all the cron jobs that are running to see if it knocked litespeed off, however none of them did. Is there anything else that you could suggest.

please provide more info about your server. litespeed itself can run continuously for months without restart(I myself manage many litespeed servers for years)

Hello,

The server spec is below:

i3 540 3.06GHz
4GB RAM
500GB HD

We use this server to host shared hosting clients and it runs on Cloudlinux

It hosts less than 100 domains however most of them are dynamic web sites using php and mysql.

If you need anymore information, please let me know.

check /usr/local/lsws/logs/ap_cmd_param.log as well as /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log and see what triggers restart.

Do you use cPanel? If yes, disable apache in Service Manager

you are not supposed to uncheck the httpd service.

WARNING: Do NOT uncheck “httpd” service under WHM service manager, otherwise WHM wont restart LiteSpeed automatically when configuration has been changed.
