Default Not reading .htaccess in user root

Litespeed seems to ignore changes made to .htaccess in /home/user/.htaccess until a restart of the web server is performed. Is there a way to fix this?

Changes to /home/user/public_html/.htacces work fine and as expected.

Hello,

It's on cPanel servers so it is /home/user/public_html

since your document root is /home/user/public_html, "/home/user/.htaccess" should have no effect at all.

DocumentRoot does not normally define where .htaccess works and does not work, at least with Apache.

Even with Litespeed it uses the .htaccess in /home/user, however it only updates it upon a restart instead of live.

Is this intended or a bug?

bump... again

Should I submit a ticket? I think the amount we pay for licenses warrants a better response.

Sorry, haven't replied you timely. In fact we're working on it ...

Please force re-install 4.1.13, by our lab tests, /home/user/.htaccess now works like /home/user/public_html/.htaccess

please test and confirm.
