Any Cpanel + Litespeed Config Recommendations??

I am setting up a new shared server, using Cpanel / WHM, and Litespeed.

I am struggling with creating a setup with Cpanel's Apache and PHP configuration files and compiled in modules, and Litespeed's configuration.

I want to keep Cpanel functionality as much as possible, such as automation with config file creation etc..

But there are so many places to configure settings with Litespeed, server-wide settings, virtual-host-templates, external handlers, etc... That I am getting a bit overwhelmed.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to basic guidelines in this scenario. "Best Practice" and the like?

You do not need to mess with other configurations for now if you want to use litespeed with cPanel.

with Ruby on rails addon domains...

Thanks, I caught those instructions... I am re-installing lsws now, to try to start fresh.

My configuration gets complicated though, as I'm trying to run ruby-on-rails lsapi capable virtual hosts, with possibly multiple ruby-on-rails virtual hosts per account.

The litespeed ruby on rails configuration doesn't quite work, because I also want to support php lsapi within the ruby-on-rails enabled virtual host.

For RoR hosting in shared hosting environment, take a look at

PHP should work out of the box within RoR vhosts.
