you should check error log or stderr.log for possible php error. assuming things will be ok if _no_ php.ini in /usr/local/lsws/lsphp5/lib, that indicates the settings (non-default or extensions) in php.ini breaks php. you may also follow this PHP Basic Troubleshooting Guide to troubleshoot.

new problem:

when you click on edit to edit any topics / posts in vbulletin, the vb editor is blank ..
