Two observations: Default (system) indexes are "Proudly Served by LiteSpeed Web Server" running RHEL when folder permissions are TOO restrictive !!! With more permissive permissions, the index in the folder is served. And in a secured folder, at that. Go figger. I for one am not proud to drop my pants in public. Any 'group' or public wanting an index on a 'user read only' folder should NOT recieve one, OR at worst, recieve the index in the folder. And, the DOCUMENT_URI environment variable seems to have fallen off the earth since installing litespeed in place of Apache. I realize there are work arounds, but this was supposed to be a drop-in for Apache. Cheers.
