Plesk + Password Protected Directories

Running Plesk 9.2.3 and latest version of Litespeed web server.

When adding a password protected directory to a domain inside Plesk, Litespeed requires a start for the protection on the directory to work.

Is there any solution for this?

If I correctly understood standard Apache was replaced with Litespeed here?

Hmm... but it is third-party software, so we can't guarantee correct Plesk operation with it. I've never heard about a configuration like this. I looked in our internal resources and haven't found anything about it. Perhaps this topic will be useful: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=675017

LSWS should reload Apache configuration whenever a change in configuration files has been detected, please find out which configuration file has been changed by plesk when you add password protection.

There is a bug in our latest 4.0.11 release that prevent LSWS from reloading configuration file when one configuration file was removed, this problem has been addressed in our 4.0.12 release.
