Mod_Pagespeed Downside?

Is there any downside or any "cost" (memory, incompatibilities, complicated ongoing management, etc) of enabling Pagespeed on 5.2.x?
Lastly, I am running LS on WHM, I can't find the equivalent module on Easy Apache 4 so I presume I must enable it directly on the LS console? I see it there, but I thought there would be a way to activate it from WHM via Apache config?

Thanks for that.
In your experience what makes a page load faster, LS CACHE or Pagespeed? I am currently using LS Cache and quite happy with it but Google complains that my website needs Webp and non render blocking scripts etc

lscache cache dynamic generated pages which usually the bottleneck, usually it's much more important than pagespeed which optimize static contents.
you feel your website fast -- this is most important. you can refer the complaints, and spend time to fix them, or ignore them if no time available. may not be so important --- it may take many many time to fix them but only gain little performance.
