I tried uploading 10 files again, 300kb to 500kb each but do not see anything in the sterr.log file.

Right, so are other files less than 10MB which fail and give 503 error.
8MB one uploaded without any error.
I tried 15MB file and 11MB, this error:

Thanks. I did upload 6 small pictures and they were uploaded without any error. The size was around between 140kb to 250kb.
I tried the wiki fix already since I have csf running, did not help. lsphp is already in the pignore list as well. The htaccess edit did not help...
I did post on xenforo forum and their response was that it could be timeout issue.
