It won't be compatible until Litespeed supports Passenger NodeJS like they do for Python/Ruby. Until then you'll be stuck launching your own node applications and proxy'ing them.

Very curious about this as well considering cPanel just announced passenger support and it'll include an application manager: https://documentation.cpanel.net/display/66Docs/Application+Manager We'll need passenger support from the Litespeed side by the time cPanel 66 hits release builds.

When do you expect a stable version of 5.2? The reason I ask is cPanel as also just added mod_passenger support in cPanel 66 meaning we'll be at a disadvantage when 66 is stable as Apache hosts will be able to offer newer versions of Ruby on Rails.

The issue with this approach is we advertise a drop in replacement to Apache. Users then are using our servers to test applications and web sites assuming the same code works in Apache. The missing modules problem would also exist in Apache so I think that is not really the best of arguments...

As it stands currently Litespeed ignores htaccess fatal errors and logic mistakes and continues with execution. This poses a problem for users who expect to be able to interchange between Litespeed and Apache. As this would probably break a lot of installs the only solution I see is an option...

We've reported two crashes thus far regarding 4.2.5. Other than that have not run into any issues.

We're seeing something similar and what is really strange is upon restarting litespeed the first request to the virtual host will work.

Yep we still see this in 4.1.7 at random as well. Just randomly happens on a server and restart lsws and issue is fixed then may not see it again only to have it pop up on another server.

It also does not appear to work if you specify a specific IP for the web console as well. At least I think that's why ours does not work even when we turned off SSL to test if it worked with it off.

We reported a problem with it when we tried 4.0.15 and eventually it was completely disabled. It was causing the cPanel restart scripts to lock up.
