    Recommended umask permission setting

Good to have this as a feature on Litespeed. However, I tried setting the Required Permission Mask to 077, it doesn't work? I'm looking to only serve files of 700 permission. Do I need to set the Restricted Permission Mask as well? How does this Required Permission Mask and Restricted...

Stat failed for /tmp/lshttpd/.status (errno=13 - Permission denied)

I was trying around with the directory permissions on my virtualhost's docroot when I hit this error after I restart. It doesn't goes off even when I changed my directory permission back to before. The Listener is in red with status ERROR. All my virtualhosts status says Restart Required. But...

    Recommended umask permission setting

May I know what is the recommended umask value for a shared environment using LiteSpeed? I realise Litespeed is not able to read the docroot if the permission is anything below 755. Can we set it to 700 but still allow Litespeed to read it? Can we load apache's mod_ruid2 module for this...

    Litespeed doesn't start automatically

I'm using Debian 6. I manage to get it running on boot with the insserv command (with warning messages). # insserv lsws insserv: warning: current start runlevel(s) (2 3 5) of script `lsws' overwrites defaults (2 3 4 5). insserv: warning: current stop runlevel(s) (0 1 2 3 5 6) of script...

    Litespeed doesn't start automatically

I've just did a fresh installation of Litespeed Standard on a new server. The installation went smoothly but I couldn't get Litespeed to start up automatically on bootup. It can be started via command line manually after logging in. During the installation, I've already specified that I want...

    [Solved] php.ini not loaded?

After I build the latest version of PHP 5, my phpinfo() shows "Loaded Configuration File" as (none). The "Configuration File (php.ini) Path" is displayed as /usr/local/lsws/lsphp5/lib but I could not find any php.ini there. Is this normal? How can I test if php has been built properly...

    [Solved] Litespeed not running suEXEC/LSAPI

Thanks for the reply. So how do I run my php scripts under the owner and not the web server? Should it be LSAPI or suEXEC in this case? I've already set the suEXEC user & group under Ext Application. I've also set the CGI set UID mode to DocRoot UID. But it still doesn't work. Is there...

Hi guys, I've installed the standard version of the Litespeed Web Server. Facing some problems with getting php files to run under suEXEC/LSAPI. Is suEXEC and LSAPI the same thing? I can't seem to get my php files to run under the owner of the file. My Litespeed runs as nobody/nobody. My...
