    Subdomains with Plesk

Ok, thanks for your help, I found a way to handle the problem. It really was about the DNS. Thank you very, very much!

    Subdomains with Plesk

Do you have an idea? Because I don't.

    Subdomains with Plesk

Yes, I configured all vHosts from LiteSpeed. Even just adding the subdomain to the main vHost's entry doesn't work. My browser "tells" me that it isn't able to find the server. So I suspect that the problem is not caused by LiteSpeed but by the DNS settings. But I haven't any experiences or...

    Subdomains with Plesk

Hey guys, I'd like to set up a subdomain for a domain but it doesn't work the way I expected. So I need some help with the DNS. First of all, I set up a subdomain for the domain in Plesk 8. As a result, in the DNS menu for the domain there's a new host called "subdomain.mydomain.com", Record...

    Rails app sooo slow :-(

Rails apps sooo slow :-( Hey guys, I'm running Rails with Ruby LSAPI for a while and it's sooo slow. I'm not sure if it's Litespeed or the LSAPI making it so slow. But I don't have any idea. Maybe you have. Watch elmarnass.de to get an impression. It takes some seconds before anything...

    "cannot load configure file"

Oh, so stupid ... I didn't set up the Document Root because it's was new to me. I think in LiteSpeed 2 it had not to set it up seperately. Now it works. For the LiteSpeed staff: Can you make the error messages a bit more clearly? And it would be great to put "Document Root" in the...

    "cannot load configure file"

That's what I did. (Well, I use a Mac and in Safari and Firefox the link is not clickable. Instead, you see the source in the normal web page view. I changed it in Firefox with Firebug and then clicked on it. The file was generated but it's empty.)

    "cannot load configure file"

Well, I now tested it on my other server and it doesn't work there, neither. The new created files just have "600" permissions, but after changing it to "777" and restarting, the error is the same. Is it a bug or what do I wrong?

    "cannot load configure file"

Yes, I see that, the file is still 0 byte. But what changes do I have to do?

    "cannot load configure file"

Hi, I have a problem with setting up my vHosts. I created the conf files and when I save them I get no error message. But after restarting LiteSpeed it says "[config:server:vhosts] cannot load configure file" and "[/my/path/conf/vh_conf.xml:1] no element found" Both file and folder...

503 Service Unavailable - Can't access my Rails app

Stupid me! I just forgot to reinstall the Ruby LSAPI: A simple hello world app now works. But I think more complex apps will work after having configured them.

503 Service Unavailable - Can't access my Rails app

I created the new user and reinstalled LiteSpeed, but the problem is the same. Which rights does the user have to have? Or what settings? (Just to keep in mind: I'm running Suse 9.3)

503 Service Unavailable - Can't access my Rails app

Setting both to 0 doesn't work, too. And leaving them empty didn't solve the problem ... Can I solve this problem with changing the user? Currently, LiteSpeed is running as suggested as "nobody". Should I run it as root or might this be insecure? Or should I configure a new user with the...

503 Service Unavailable - Can't access my Rails app

This does not work. :( I have let this field empty and have restarted the server, but nothing changed. BTW: I forgot But I think this refers to the same problem.

Permissions for this folder and all subfolders are 777.

503 Service Unavailable - Can't access my Rails app

Thanks, but this was not really my problem. According to Yast, zlib was already installed, but I compiled and installed it "by hand". Then I installed Ruby again, and then the gems. And then Rails. And now - Rails seems to be installed! But there's another problem now: Now I retrieve a...

503 Service Unavailable - Can't access my Rails app

From which source code? And how? (Sorry for this stupid noob question ...) Because I thought it might be a problem to run two Ruby installations I uninstalled Ruby using Yast. Then I installed Ruby 1.8.5 manually. According to Yast, zlib is installed, but installing the gems I got this...

503 Service Unavailable - Can't access my Rails app

I installed Ruby using Yast (on Suse 9.3) and it only "finds" version 1.8.1. Before I did this (installing using Yast) I already downloaded it and tried to compile and install it, but there was a problem with zlib and so somebody told my I should try it with Yast. But how can I get Ruby...
